Description

This work was inspired by a Scottish (female) friend of mine. I've always had a fascination for ancient history, and this painting depicts a (fantasy-like) Pictish warrior girl, a member of the fierce people that were the ancestors of the Scottish.

thanks! :) it did take a lot of time to get the atmospheric perspective effect in the background (the gradual fading in the misty distance) done without acces to an airbrush. Oh, how things have become easier in the digital age...
