Rallying the Troops

This is a collaborative piece of art I did a while ago with a good friend of mine, the reclusive artist Emel de Syrs. She is a very talented character designer and provided me with a drawing of Baroness Julanne, an inherently cruel but charismatic commander in the League of Canlaster (The Ion Age). I thought Emel really captured the appearance of a character which until then only appeared in the fiction in the Moth rulebook; so I set out to add some colour to the drawing, and paint a backdrop to match.

So here we have Baroness Julanne, adressing her army from the battlements of her Casillis Portable Castle (a massive dropship that deploys as a mobile fortress) on the eve of the fateful battle for Gravelle City.
